About Rusty
I’m husband to Lizzie and dad to Linden and Willa. We arrange our schedule around our eleven year old shih-poo pup, Huck, who closely resembles an Ewok. I enjoy good pie.
Waldron is the small town in Arkansas where my grandma was raised. It’s an inspirational place for which I hold a lot of reverence.
I approach a wedding as one of your guests, having made a concise plan but staying out of the way of the uncontrived flow of the day. My clients most commonly compliment my calmness and attention to the nuances that make them and their celebrations unique.
I’ve photographed some 300 weddings now, and I understand paramountly that a wedding day isn’t so much about flowers and dinner and a getaway car as it is a marriage and the beginning of a bigger story.
Manifesto
I aim above all else to be an ally, a support system, and a resource.
I stand to help you create a wedding that’s true to you — whether that means a ceremony under a park shelter followed by a water balloon fight, or a party with lots of flowers down at the country club. I think the setting that best fits you is the best setting; and to be frank, keeping this idea of individuality and – let’s call it well placed-selfishness – at the forefront is key to the whole deal.
