Rather simply, these are really just a couple of the better people around. I'm awfully glad to have been able to watch their wedding day come together - and culminate in one heck of a dance party.

I've come to believe that there aren't many honors truer than photographing those near & dear to you, and likewise not many challenges quite as big. Katie is my dear sister-in-law, and Michael  - we call him Big Lou - has likewise become just as dear a friend. There's not a bit of pretense in these folks. They're kind and warm and genuine and real; so, as could have been expected, their wedding day was just about the same.

It was something else.

(And, given the situation, I was privileged not only to be a bystander on wedding day, but on the two days prior, which produced some of the scene-setting pictures below.)
